A multi-family, residential building that adapts to the skinny streets and tiny lots in the residential neighborhoods of Tokyo. A minimalist design that grants increasing privacy toward the upper floors, yet still takes advantage of the sunlight that makes it through the neighboring buildings.
An architecture that uses a concrete core and thicker-than-normal concrete slabs to provide a columnless space, maximizing available space in an already constrained footprint, and providing a sense of floating, stacking units. The thickest slab at the roof level supports a private terrace and garden.
